GoPro has come out with a brand new variant of its Hero lineup of action cameras.

The new model looks a lot like the £399.99 GoPro Hero 6 Black, but leaves out 4K and slo-mo recording, with its filming capabilities instead topping out at a maximum resolution and frame rate of 1440p at 60fps. This release comes just months after GoPro slashed prices of the GoPro Hero6 and GoPro Hero5 variants.

"HERO is a great first GoPro for people looking to share experiences beyond what a phone can capture", says Meghan Laffey, GoPro's SVP of Product.

GoPro last week announced a licensing deal with manufacturing services company Jabil to expand beyond the consumer action camera segment and into the enterprise market.
