Epic Gamesrecently announced that Fortnite on Xbox will soon get the same cross-platform and cross-progression perks as the PS4 version of the game. "Fortnite" can already be played on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PCs. Initially, the iOS version will be available through an Invite Event and the Android version will follow in the months after. To take part, you'll need an Internet connection and iOS 11 on at least an iPhone 6S/SE, iPad Mini 4, iPad Pro, iPad Air 2, or iPad 2017 devices.
As a player of "Fortnite", one may choose to compete on one's own in solo mode, with a partner in duo mode or with a group of three or four in squad mode. The impending Fortnite Mobile will be cross-stage between iOS, Android, PC, Mac and Xbox One, and furthermore between iOS, Android, PC, Mac, and PS4.
In it, it was easy to see the usual gameplay that's found on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
Upon signing up, players will receive an email with the iOS download, which they can subsequently download from the App Store.
Epic Games said it strives to bring "Fortnite" to more people with each platform it supports and each update it releases. You're not about to play a watered-down 5-vs-5 deathmatch on a quarter-sized map, and this is not a match-3 puzzle game bait and switch.
There is no doubt that the Battle Royale genre is a global phenomenon, so more and more companies are interested in developing content that satisfies this growing market.
"As opposed to what may have been inferred, Microsoft has for some time been the main voice in supporting cross-stage play, associating players crosswise over PC, portable and all consoles".
Fortnite Battle Royale has finally enabled cross-play across the several platforms, but the official announcement from Epic Games generated quite a bit of confusion among the supporters of the title on the different platforms. The more testing the better, it seems.
