Two people have died after a plane crashed in Parmer County Sunday evening.

Multiple Charlottesville and Albemarle emergency service units responded to the scene of the crash and a large fire near Saddle Hollow Road near Crozet, according to fire officials.

It's not clear if the deceased was a man or a woman and his or her age is unknown at this time.

At this stage of the investigation, it has been determined that the aircraft had only one occupant.

COSHOCTON COUNTY, Ohio- The FAA is investigating a deadly plane crash that claimed the lives of two people Monday morning in Coshocton County.

There has been no word on what caused the plane to go down. A tornado warning had been issued for the area Sunday night, though none touched down in Albemarle or Augusta counties.

The owner of the property where the crash happened says his wife heard an engine noise followed by a thud around 6:30 a.m. At this point, however, it's not yet known if weather even played a role in the crash.
