It is about time for Instagram to roll out something similar to the Download Your Informationtool of Facebook, which the social network released in 2010.
There is a new update for the Instagram iOS app that is bringing a different camera format.
Take a photo or video, share it on your story, send it to a friend, or save it for later. The person stands out and looks oh-so glamorous and nobody wastes precious eye strain looking at whatever mundane thing's happening in the background.
The feature is available on iPhone SE, 6S, 6S+, 7, 7+, 8, 8+, X and select Android devices.
Upon updating the app, users will find the option for "Focus" appears alongside "Superzoom" underneath the record button. The username appears at the certain of the Nametag, according to Techcrunch, which shared a video of the feature in action (below). Focus mode can be used with either the front or rear-facing camera.
At this moment Instagram is not going into the details of this feature because it is yet to be finalized. After capturing a photo or video in your stories camera, you can use a @mention sticker available from the stickers tray. This feature is now in the rollout phase and is limited to iOS users. The sticker will then be created which you can resize and position on any part of the image or video. The silence around the Insta app has been broken down finally with the launch of the new feature - Focus. Do you think it is necessary?
Furthermore, an "Access Your Information" tab was introduced to provide users a secure way to access and manage their information, such as posts, reactions, comments, and so on.
