The Egyptian only needs two more goals to equal the record for a 38-game season.

Guardiola, who would secure his first league title in England with a win on Saturday, spoke with Sky Sports about the impact of De Bruyne on the club's play and how he is a huge factor in their success this season. I'm not really someone who speaks a lot with coaches. "I think to score that many goals in a season is unbelievable".

"It helps when you win that many games with a team and you only lose one". As it always is in life, if you have to have the skills you have to show that constantly and consistently, and he is very good.

Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has revealed his relationship with Jose Mourinho was so "distant" at Chelsea the pair only spoke twice.

Having returned from a season on loan at Werder Bremen, De Bruyne impressed Mourinho enough to be named as a starter in Blues' opening two games of the 2013-14 Premier League season.

De Bruyne and Salah both made their Chelsea debuts in 2013/14, but were hardly given a chance before being move on to Wolfsburg and Roma respectively.

"The three in front, the way they play at certain balls, they are clinical".

And I'm like , 'What?' I think all of us were concerned that we weren't able to handle that life anymore. Jenni "JWoww" Farley and Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi , openly discuss having undergone plastic surgery.

"But I feel the best way to try to win is what we have done here since we've been together".

"I think if a coach wants to speak with you then you just do it".

Captain Vincent Kompany concurred, and the consensus in the City camp is that they were just beaten by the better team on the pitch.

A stellar supporting cast including David Silva, Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling risks diluting the groundswell of support for de Bruyne among his fellow professionals.

Asked on his views ahead of the clash - and ultimately, who will triumph come May - he stated: "I am going to go for City".

"I think everybody's idea is whether he can maintain it and if he can get half as many goals next season then he has done incredible". I'm okay with it, as long as nobody's hurt I'm fine. It depends on what people are looking for in a player.

De Bruyne and Salah both failed to make the grade at Chelsea, shining in the Bundesliga and Serie A respectively before sealing Premier League returns, but the 26-year-old insists that common experience was not a factor in his voting decision.
