As suggested by the AMR moniker, an acronym for Aston Martin Racing, the new model gets more than just a power boost. Deliveries in the United States start this summer.

Aston Martin has added a new dimension of race-inspired dynamism and performance to the DB11 family, with the introduction of the new DB11 AMR.

Replacing the two-year-old DB11 V12, which accounts for 40% of annual DB11 sales, the DB11 AMR gets an uprated twin-turbocharged 5.2-litre powerplant that develops 630bhp at 6500rpm and 516lb ft at 1500rpm. The 2019 Aston Martin DB11 AMR debuted today with improved handling and 630 hp on tap. It is connected to a recalibrated eight-speed automatic transmission which enables the vehicle to accelerate from 0-60 miles per hour in 3.5 seconds before hitting a top speed of 208 miles per hour (334 km/h).

Visually, the special edition DB11 sports a monochrome treatment all over with a dark front grille, dark headlight surrounds, and carbon-fiber hood blades. The Aston Martin AMR Signature Edition will be strictly limited to only 100 examples worldwide and is priced at £201,995, which is about ₹ 1.84 crore, as per current exchange price.

The chassis development team, led by chief engineer Matt Becker, has provided the AMR variant with the more agile suspension and geometry set-up of the younger V8 model.

Visually distinguishing it from the regular V12 DB11 are the exposed carbon fibre and gloss black detailing used for both the exterior and interior of the vehicle. Moving further back, we can see a gloss black roof, carbon fiber mirror caps and 20-inch forged alloy wheels with a dark finish. The DB11 AMR has a top speed of 208 miles per hour. The eight-speed automatic transmission has also been revised with new shift calibration, and the exhaust has been retuned to deliver a "more vocal" note when in Sport mode.

Nobody could really argue the old DB11 V12 was underpowered. Inside, monotone leather and Alcantara is standard, punctuated with a contrasting central lime stripe.

Buyers will be able to select between a wide range of colour and trim options, however, the company is also offering three Designer Specification packages, along with an exclusive AMR Signature Edition theme with Stirling Green and lime livery (as featured in the photos). With extensive carbon fibre detailing on the exterior, the inside is equally striking, with Dark Knight leather and Lime detailing, plus Satin Dark Chrome switchgear and Satin Carbon Fibre trim.
