It's now the fifth highest-grossing movie of all time, but that won't last.

IMAX locations in 19 territories including Korea, Italy, Brazil, Mexicoand the UAE all reported their best opening weekends ever with more than 25 markets recording their best IMAX Marvel openings including India, the UK, Japan, France, Germany and Argentina. In North American currency, that makes the film the highest opener for a Hollywood film. To celebrate, Marvel Studios has dropped the prices on many of its superhero movies to $10 on digital platforms, including Amazon, iTunes, Google Play, and Vudu.

A fourth Avengers film has been scheduled for release in one year.

Right off the bat you can safely assume that Avengers: Infinity War (which is only in it's third week of release) has another $70 million in the tank, so it will easily hop over Jurassic World to take the number 4 all-time slot. Count on it. Will it reach "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" at No. 3?

The film has supplanted the lifetime worldwide total of films such as Jurassic World ($1.019 billion) and The Fate of the Furious ($1.010 billion), courtesy of the extraordinary opening in China, as of May 13. By the third weekend, it has already raked in S$14.3 million - the first film in Singapore to surpass S$14 million. It now stands at the eight-largest all-time domestic release.

After amassing $61.8 million in domestic screens and $281.3 million from global markets in its third weekend, the running worldwide total of AIW now stands at a staggering $1.61 billion gross. Beware, there are spoilers for Infinity War below.

In the race for top domestic superhero movie, "Infinity War" ($547.8 million) still has a ways to go to top Disney/Marvel's "Black Panther" ($696.2 million). Disney's studios drew a total of $2.45 billion last quarter.

"This is a typical Mother's Day weekend with a big blockbuster in the mix and some counter programming thrown in for good measure as we await the arrival of "Deadpool 2" next week", said comScore senior media analyst Paul Dergarabedian.
