EA have confirmed that the new entry in their long-running shooter series will be called Battlefield V, and have detailed exactly when to expect the May 23 reveal. It will be hosted by The Daily Show's Trevor Noah.

The current loot box controversy spurred by Star Wars: Battlefront 2 now hangs over the head of both Electronic Arts and DICE. It'll broadcast on YouTube, Twitch, and Mixer, and will be hosted by Trevor Noah, who announced the broadcast earlier today. Could BF5 take place in the future, or will it stay within the present or near future that we've seen from other Battlefield titles?

We've been hearing rumors for a while now that the next Battlefield game will be revealed at E3 or EA Play next month.

Rights Group Calls for End to Police Facial Recognition
A privacy group has slammed the police's use of facial recognition systems at public events in the United Kingdom as "dangerous and inaccurate".

The Battlefield blog post states that the head of DICE Stockholm, senior producer, creative director, and design director of the game will come in and fill viewers in on their vision. Because of this, we suggest not even blinking during the Battlefield V Live Reveal. The game is titled Battlefield V and will be officially revealed next Wednesday.

The loot box controversy has led to some countries developing regulations concerning the use of them in video games. It was codenamed as Battlefield V although the final name of the game appears to be the same as the initial leak.

Battlefield 5 will feature a new mode which will be unique and new challenges, with multiple maps and modes for online multiplayer and single-player campaign.
