On Monday, Jackson announced that he will jump into Lake Erie on June 1, a pledge that he had made previous year should the Browns not improve on their 1-15 record from 2016.

The Browns head coach will jump into Lake Erie on June 1, fulfilling a promise he made following his first season in Cleveland. And now we finally know that it's going to happen.

After all, a dip in a lake and a shot at another season of possibilities beats the fate of terminated GM Sashi Brown.

Jackson pledged that for every Browns employee that joins him in the water he will donate $100 to his foundation, which combats human trafficking in Northeast Ohio.

WhatsApp Gets New Group Features, Including Descriptions, Mentions, and Admin Controls
The update comes after WhatsApp promised a new group video calling feature at the Facebook F8 conference last month. Now in group settings, admins can now restrict who can change the group's subject, icon, and description.

Jackson will make the jump for the symbolic cleansing of the franchise and for charity.

It's not exactly a shock that he would have put it off until the weather warms up, but hey, who could really blame him? They promptly went 0-16, but Jackson is keeping his word and doing some good with it, according to the team's official website. If you ask me, that's cheating.

And, while the Browns' future seems brighter now thanks to offseason acquisitions like Tyrod Taylor, Jarvis Landry and the drafting of Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield, the only way for Jackson to truly rid himself of past failures is to take the plunge.
