At a public rally addressed by Chandrababu Naidu in Tirupati, the TDP chief had asked Telegu-speaking people in Karnataka not to cast their votes in support of the BJP as the ruling party at the Centre had betrayed the people of their home state.

The Naidu government has been accusing the Narendra Modi government of denying special category status to Andhra.

According to a press release issued by BJP Nagaland Media Cell host of the Nagaland BJP workers including the twelve BJP legislators celebrated the party's victory of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly Election on May 15.

Mr Shah was said to have adopted similar poll strategy in recently held Assembly elections in Gujarat and Karnataka. Of the seven seats in Raichur, the BJP won two.

He alleged that the BJP will try to convince the Congress and the JDS MLAs by flexing its money power to form the government as it has a past record of forming governments through "evil means".
