Microsoft hasn't revealed a release date or pricing for the Surface Hub 2, but given the first one started at £5,709 we doubt the second-gen display will be much cheaper, though Microsoft could have a lease program to get the Hub 2 into businesses without forcing them to shell out a hefty wad of cash. Dynamic rotation allows you to use the best orientation for your content to help people work in the way that best suits them and the people they are collaborating with. The Surface Hub 2 that it has announced today will have a smaller 50.5 inch display with a resolution that's greater than 4K and a 3:2 aspect ratio which will result in very slim bezels.

You also get 4K cameras (which rotate with the screen), along with integrated speakers and far-field mic arrays to boot, all of which should make video chat and collaboration a streamlined experience.

Microsoft Surface Hub 2 features a sleeker design and is more affordable to fit any workspace or work style.

Do you remember the Surface Hub? "We'll have more to share in the coming months.".

Microsoft's Surface team is obsessed with hinges.

The attendees broke into a rendition of "Happy Birthday" for the Hollywood actress after the signing. He had previously insisted that Cannes should choose its films based purely on quality.

Microsoft doesn't mention a larger unit like the current 84-inch model, and there's good reason why the company may not take this larger avenue: Tiling.

The Surface Hub 2 won't be battery-powered, though Microsoft's not saying exactly what technology will power it. Four of the massive screens can even be linked together.

The software on the Surface Hub 2 is, of course, based on Windows 10.

For now, those who wish to receive more information when it's available can sign up at the Microsoft Surface Hub 2 product page. While we are having a video call with someone, we do not have to shrink their face, but instead, use the full capacity of the Surface Hub 2. They can rotate as the Hub 2 rotates from landscape to portrait mode and vice versa. The whole idea of a Surface Hub was to make collaboration and videoconferencing much more efficient.

Yet, if there's one thing that Google's Chromebooks demonstrated easily it's that the educational sector is ripe for targeting by tech companies if they keep prices in check. If you want to buy one of these new devices, look for availability coming in 2019 but with pricing not yet finalized, getting your purchase order approved could be a bit more hard.
