The WWE stars had been engaged since WrestleMania 33 in 2017, but split just before the wedding.
Nikki and Cena were set to the knot on May 5th, 2018; however, it was a few days before the scheduled wedding date that they announced their separation.
"John and I, we absolutely love each other and we care about each other a lot", she continued.
But the real drama comes from Nikki's indecision about her marriage, with the Total Divas star confessing "I feel like I'm living in a fake life". "I mean, John-and you guys know this-he is absolutely an fantastic man, such a sweetheart, and I truly love him so much".
But I think a lot of us that go through the wedding planning process have to face, or are forced to face all these issues we have just hiding deep down inside.
"I have hope I'm at a point in my life where I feel like I kind of lost me, and I want to find me and work on me", she added.
"Before I do say those vows and walk down that aisle, I just do not want to be hesitant". I realized that I really needed to work on me, because a better me is a better us. Cena even admitted that he wants to marry Nikki and be the father to her children. Plus, Brie praises her sister and John for sharing their story publicly.
When the topic of conversation turned towards the Royal Wedding, it was revealed that Meghan Markle would need someone to walk her down the aisle due to the fact that her father, Thomas Markle, would be unable to attend the ceremony.
The professional wrestler appeared to be taken aback when Extra's AJ Calloway informed her that ex-beau John Cena said that he was still very much interested in a reconciliation during an early-morning interview with Today.
It's great to see these incredible people lead by example, and prove that no human's life is ideal.
