The announcement was integrated into the studio review and there it included a link that leads to what will be, at some point, the official site of Stalker 2.

An official website popped up early this morning with little more than a title and a date of "2021". And it'll be fun to see what a proper S.T.A.L.K.E.R. follow-up looks like, especially with the advancement in game engines over the years and the directions fans took the original through some thoroughly impressive mods. The post says nothing more about the upcoming sequel or game, but you can read it over right here if you want to.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 seems to be coming in 2021 according to a post on ResetEra.

Nostrum Oil & Gas PLC (LON:NOG) Weekly Ratings on May 15, 2018

Do you remember the game Stalker?

The latest release in the gritty post-apocalyptic survival horror series was S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat, which arrived back in 2009. The game's site simply has a dark concrete background with "S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2" and "2.0.2.1." painted into it, likely indicating that this game won't be around until another three years. Do you think S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 will be able to go head-to-head with similarly-themed franchises like Metro and Fallout?

Later, In 2012 GSC Game World stated that the game was "currently in development" without a release date.
