During Ubisoft's E3 2018 press conference tonight, Beyond Good and Evil 2 got a new CGI story trailer, and it contained a bunch or really interesting lore tidbits that have interesting implications for the plot of the prequel. We still don't know a release date for the long, long awaited sequel to Michel Ancel's 2003 cult hit, but the four minute cinematic teaser revealed a little more about the game's storyline and characters - including a few familiar faces. Hopefully we can expect even more from the game at E3 next year, but for now, the stuff Ubisoft has announced offers plenty to unpack.

The plan is to invite the community to help create music, artwork and radio segments which will feature throughout Beyond Good & Evil 2's world through HitRecord.

Death Stranding E3 Gameplay Reveal Trailer
The video showcased the very first gameplay, with the main character exploring some absolutely handsome environments. Of course, we also see cinematics, including the reveal of a female character played by Léa Seydoux.

Ubisoft was also eager to share that the camera mechanic from the original game will be back; this time around the character has a spyglass, which gives players a chance to take pictures, scan the environment, and so on. This is very much still a game in development, and that was evidenced by the next announcement Ubisoft made. Players will control their own custom space pirate, tasked with navigating from planet to planet doing general piratey things.

The new trailer showed off Shandi, the game's protagonist, trying to save her team, after they are ambushed by an enormous freighter. This new initiative to pull in organic content has appropriately been given the name The Space Monkey Project.
