Doncic to Remain in Draft, Multiple Teams Looking to Trade Up

It'll have unpredictability, and with the 8th pick, the Cleveland Cavaliers could be at the forefront of that drama.

NBA Draft night is fast approaching, and one of the top players will remain in the pool of prospects. Adding in Mohamed Bamba, Jaren Jackson Jr, and Marvin Bagley III could cause Doncic could slip all the way to the Mavericks at fifth overall. But, with a three-quarters court sprint faster than Russell Westerbork and an eight-foot wingspan, he's suddenly jumped into contention for a top-three pick.

If these teams are content with their point guard depth and talent, maybe they look to trade out of the top five and acquire an additional asset (s) from a team looking to move up and select Doncic.

Regardless of if he's there at No. 4, is he worth trading up for? Already a star, but he continues to get better.

Luka Doncic will not withdraw his name from the 2018 National Basketball Association draft early-entry list, a source told ESPN. A more seasoned Doncic could end up leading the franchise as Conley and Marc Gasol near the end of their prime years. Remember, Doncic has four years of professional experience in Europe.

Teaming him with Bogdan Bogdanovic and De'Aaron Fox is building some big-time excitement to watch the Kings this fall. That player is waiting for them at No. 1 in the form of Ayton, and there is absolutely no way they should be considering going in any other directions.
