E3 2018: Dead or Alive 6 Announced

Dead or Alive 6 announced for PC, due 2019 Dead or Alive 6 is on the way, and Team Ninja wants to “make the characters less sexualized”

Team Ninja is toning down the sexuality to focus more on other areas of the game. It's been six years exactly since Dead or Alive 5 first saw the light of the day and this is the sixth entry in the popular franchise as well. According to IGN, Dead or Alive 6 will feature new characters that will be revealed soon.

Ahead of E3, Team Ninja revealed Dead or Alive 6, the first new numbered entry in the fighting game franchise in almost six years (via an IGN exclusive).

Fatal Rush and Break Gauge are two simplified mechanics that will allow players to chain together combos and special attacks without having to actually press a series of buttons. They can still be countered and countering either move can lead to a significant advantage. Fans shouldn't worry, as the core gameplay remains mostly the same with its predecessors.

Some characters returning in Dead or Alive 6 include Hayate, Kasumi, Helena, Ryu Hayabusa, Zack, and Jann Lee. To celebrate this fantastic news, they've unveiled a debut trailer, showing off that trademark fast combo action that the series in known for.

The final character roster is not set yet, but Shimbori is planning on adding some new fighters to the mix with some classic, popular characters.

Otherwise, as IGN's hands-on preview shows, Dead or Alive 6 still feels like a Dead or Alive game at its heart.
