President Donald Trump's top economic adviser Larry Kudlow, seen here on the CNBC business news network in March, has suffered a heart attack, according to a presidential tweet. "He is now in Walter Reed Medical Center", said the message sent minutes before he was scheduled to meet Kim Jong-un, the North Korean leader, in Singapore.

It was not immediately known when Kudlow suffered the heart attack or what his condition was.

White House chief economic adviser Larry Kudlow speaks during a television interview outside the West Wing of the White House on May 18, 2018. The president tweeted that Kudlow is now at Walter Reed Medical Center.

The meeting was shadowed by the Trump administration's escalation of rhetoric on trade and tariffs and splintered shortly after the president left Quebec and tweeted he was pulling back his approval of a joint statement by the group.

Love Island 2018: Dani Dyer set to dump Jack Fincham
Never had the need to think of what Danny Dyer's arse might look like going up and down underneath some sheets, in night vision. Unsurprisingly, Dani's appearance on Love Island has sparked a mass of Danny-related memes and jokes on Twitter.

During President Ronald Reagan's first term, Kudlow was associate director for economics and planning in the White House's Office of Management and Budget.

Kudlow's description of events was contested by reporters who covered Trudeau's news conference.

The adviser most recently took center stage in the economic negotiations at the G7 summit, and backed Trump in his criticisms of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau over tariffs.
