Microsoft's E3 conference has brought not just game announcements, but also exciting industry news for players interested in the company's hold in the gaming world.

Xbox head Phil Spencer announced Sunday that Microsoft has acquired Ninja Theory, Playground Games, Undead Labs and Compulsion Games. The new studio is called The Initiative.

If that wasn't enough, Microsoft has also opened up a new studio in Santa Monica. Especially so since most recently, Ninja Theory made Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, which went on to win numerous awards in 2017 and garner high praise from gamers and critics alike.

'Judy Moody' Actor Jackson Odell Dead at 20
Aside from his role on The Goldbergs , O'Dell also has guest roles on iCarly , Modern Family and Arrested Development . Jackson was best known for his roles on " The Goldbergs " and " Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer ".

In addition to the 100 titles already included in the Xbox Game Pass and the promise of adding all Microsoft Studios' titles on launch, the Redmond giant is also adding three big names in the open-world genre to its subscription service. State of Decay and the recently-released State of Decay 2 have been exclusives for Xbox, so it seems a ideal fit for the studio to officially fall under Microsoft's first-party lineup of developers.

With its decidedly Orwellian tone and British sense of dark humour, We Happy Few looks like it could really be something special for those into their niche survival experiences, and we'll know for sure whether it has the goods by August, when the game will finally release worldwide.
