Barcelona on Monday said they have sold Spanish striker Gerard Deulofeu to English Premier League side Watford, where he had been on loan since January, for 13 million euros (dollars).

Barcelona could earn a further £3.5m in add-ons and will also receive a percentage of any future transfer to other clubs.

Watford are reported to have agreed on a €13m, plus €4m in variables, whilst Barca will receive an undisclosed percentage of any future transfer after the Spain worldwide agreed on a permanent return.

Deulofeu made seven appearances for Watford last season and scored a goal on his home debut in the 4-1 win over Chelsea in February.

Following a frustrating time with Barca, Deulofeu experienced his first taste of Premier League action when he joined Everton on loan in 2013.

He was a hit under Roberto Martinez at Goodison Park and, following a loan stint at Sevilla the following term, was signed permanently by the Toffees in summer 2015.

And after impressing at an inconsistent Watford, Javi Gracia has chose to snap him up on a permanent deal.
