A Brooklyn man accused of chopping off his pregnant wife's right arm and two of her left fingers was caught Saturday night in Niagara Falls, NY.

Yong Lu, 35, was taken into custody at the One Niagara building on Saturday while wearing a life jacket - and police believe he planned to use it to swim to Canada, the Buffalo News reported.

News 12 is told the NYPD Regional Fugitive Task Force apprehended Lu on the American side of Niagara Falls just two days after police say he cut off part of his wife's right arm above the bicep with a kitchen knife and severed two of her fingers on her left hand.

Lu's wife, 31-year-old Yang Li, was inside their home waiting for their 7-year-old son to finish school. Lu reportedly became angry and went on a rampage.

This update was supposed to be included in the April 2018 XDK update, which would have meant rollout in the Fall 2018 update. Developers would be able to customize the visibility and appearance of the mouse pointer in Xbox One titles as well.

Li was rushed to a hospital, where emergency responders learned of her pregnancy.

The woman was hospitalized, and officials say her arm has been successfully reattached. According to the Niagara Falls Reporter, "Police confiscated a few items along with a lifejacket that Lu purchased from an area Walmart".

He also tried to hop on a bus as a stowaway, Novak added.

WIVB reports, "According to Crime Stoppers, Lu attempted to solicit a bus driver into letting him hide in a luggage compartment on a bus that was going into Canada".
