The 19-year-old was injured in a training ground incident with the severity of his injury now unknown but the forward had to leave the session.

The session was broadcast live on YouTube by the French Football Federation but although Mbappe required several minutes of attention before returning to his feet, no update was released in the following hours until the 19-year-old posted on social media last night.

The teenager scored 21 goals in all competitions and also found the back of the net for France over the weekend as they drew 1-1 with United States of America in a warm-up match.

"I am doing fine, it was just a knock, so nothing serious but thank you for your messages", he tweeted, while also urging fans to "lay off my friend Adil Rami as it was not malicious".

He said Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Defence Secretary James Mattis should oppose the one-on-one meeting "in writing". For the first time since the division of the Korean Peninsula, the leaders of the two countries held a summit in June 2000.

Mbappe, who is expected to be a starter in Russian Federation, received treatment from support staff and attempted to play on before leaving the session, placing him in doubt for Saturday's clash with the Socceroos.

"Ice packs? No, it is just a knock", Mbappe said.

Mbappe has started all of France's five friendlies in 2018-19 with three goals and two assists.

France begin their Group C campaign against Australia Saturday before meetings with Peru (June 21) and Denmark (June 26).
