Liverpool have announced that German midfielder Emre Can will leave the club at the end of this month, when his contract expires, on their official website.

Emre Can has officially left Liverpool at the end of his contract and is expected to join Juventus imminently.

The German global joined Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen in 2014 for £10m and quickly rose in the ranks at Liverpool to become a first-team regular.

However, the Liverpool Echo report that the problems are not detrimental to the deal, easing fears that the Anfield outfit could pull out.

Signed by Brendan Rodgers, Can quickly settled to life in the north-west featuring 167 times for the Reds with his last appearance coming off the bench in Liverpool's 3-1 Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid a fortnight ago. The full-back made his senior debut at the age of 18 in 2011, and played a big role in the Premier League title charge in 2014, but a serious knee injury that same year seriously impacted his Liverpool development.

He spent the past season on loan in the Championship with Bolton Wanderers and it looks likely he will be join a side in the second tier.

The only other departure that could be seen as potentially "high profile" is Jon Flanagan with the 25-year old being let go by his boyhood club after a troubled season.

New contracts have been offered to under-23 duo George Johnston and Conor Masterson.
