"With Halo Infinite we will join Master Chief on his greatest adenture yet to save humanity", said Xbox chief Phil Spencer.

Microsoft debuted Halo Infinite during its 2018 Electronic Entertainment Expo presentation today in Los Angeles. And that engine will power the game for both Xbox One and Windows 10, a major step for the typically Xbox-focused franchise. The camera then zooms back to reveal a familiar-looking person in an iconic suit of armor: Master Chief. If you've ever seen Forza Motorsport 6 or Forza Horizon 3 running on an Xbox One X, on a 4K tv, then you know exactly what we're talking about. The game will run on Microsoft's new Slipstream Engine, but the game is so early in development that the company isn't even announcing a release year.
