The plot of Cyberpunk 2077 will take place in an open world and follow the story of V, who is described as "a hired gun on the rise in Night City", with the character sure to face some formidable foes along the way. We've got all the details where you can get your copies reserved down below, and when pre-order bonus details are announced, we'll update them here. Technology, inequality and violence is everywhere and every day is a struggle to survive.

It's an open world that you open up more with "street cred". In doing so, it has also revealed the biggest surprise of all: The game will ditch the third-person view of its The Witcher franchise for a first-person view better suited to the game's gunplay.

Speaking of shooting, the combat is one of the coolest things about what we saw of Cyberpunk 2077.

There's a bullet-time-like ability that allows you to slow down time.

New Zealand teenager Amelia Kerr smashes record with ridiculous 232no
At just 17, the Kiwi star smashed the record for the highest ever women's ODI score against Ireland. Kerr's innings is third highest in ODI cricket, behind Rohit Sharma's 264 and Martin Guptill's 237.

You use an inhaler to heal.

The most truly cyberpunk aspect of combat, though, is the ability to hack into your enemies. In the demo shown, the player had previously hacked into the enemy Network and can now latch onto discrete areas to hack and disable weapons remotely. As you would expect, the game has a prominent dialogue engine, and while you can drive vehicles, you can't shoot from them while driving. We were told the mission we watched could have gone a variety of ways depending on a range of choices we made throughout it.

After many years of silence, CD Projekt Red recently unveiled their much-anticipated sci-fi RPG Cyberpunk 2077, at the very end of Microsoft's E3 2018 press conference. We know that. But ads help us pay the bills.

The goal is for you to not only engage with the game world, but with its inhabitants. In games such as Dragon Age and Mass Effect, some romances felt more important to the story than others, so we wonder if Cyberpunk 2077 romances will take on this sort of role or something else entirely. It has the potential to be the swan song for this generation.
