"New York City FC today announced that head coach Patrick Vieira is leaving the club to join OGC Nice, effective immediately", a club statement read. He started as a coach of Manchester City's development squad before getting his first head coaching position in NY. His contract runs until the end of the 2020 season.

Vieira would return to England to play for Manchester City, going on to become a club ambassador and then the coach of the development team.

'My career as a player no longer counts, it's part of the past, ' he told reporters at his unveiling on Monday afternoon.

"I know we have a very talented team, I have watched numerous matches and I enjoy the way the team plays and I now can't wait to begin working with the players on the training pitch".

He leaves NY second in the MLS Eastern Conference after Friday's draw with Atlanta. I am eager to experience and play a part in the soccer culture of NY.

Her lawyer dismissed the attempt to discredit his client, saying "there have been films made about every crime in the world". He said it was unrealistic that Herba would have done so only to get ransom money through a young woman without any means.

Torrent was a head coach at Girona in the Spanish third division in 2005-06.

Torrent has been Pep Guardiola's assistant since 2007, working with the Spaniard at Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Barcelona, and helping him to 24 trophies. While he isn't a household name, Torrent's familiarity with City Football Group's attacking style made the decision a no-brainer.

NYCFC Sporting Director and former city midfielder, Claudio Reyna, confirmed: "Domènec is someone we know really well and have great confidence in as both a person and as a coach".

"The only important thing is to have clear ideas about what I want from my players, a precise scheme to ensure that they can express themselves at their best I was very impressed by the relationship between the players and the fans".
