A Naperville police officer was caught on camera rescuing a toddler wandering on a busy road.

The department posted dash cam video of the incident to Facebook and noted Mannino was presented Thursday with a live-saving service award. Sgt. Anthony Mannino found the boy running down the side of the busy street and jumped into action.

"I have twin boys, and there's not a day that goes by where something bad happens, you always think of your own kids", Mannino said.

Trump wants to stop provocative 'war games' with South Korea
That's a solid turnaround for him since a CNN poll last November showed 35% approval of Trump's handling of North Korea . Some experts say a step-by-step denuclearization process is a ploy to win concessions while delaying disarmament.

But as he drew closer, he realized it was a 1-year-old boy running along the highway's right lane, just steps away from passing cars.

Mannino then got out on foot and chased after the boy, managing to quickly get him to safety as cars and tractor-trailers sped by. Mannino then tells dispatchers he would begin looking for the boy's parents.

An Illinois police sergeant is being hailed a hero after rescuing a young child who "escaped his mother's watchful eye". The child was out for only a matter of minutes before Mannino spotted him.
