Sanders took to her government Twitter account on Saturday to explain that she had "politely left" when asked.

It took Donald Trump more than two days to comment on Sarah Huckabee Sanders being asked to leave the Red Hen restaurant in Lexington, Virginia, but alas, he's finally settled on a comeback. Even so, libertarians should defend a private property owner's right to eject a government official from the premises.

"Opening sentences of 5 CFR 2635.702 cover both; 702 (a) gives example of coercion; 702 (c) gives example of endorsement. I always had a rule, if a restaurant is dirty on the outside, it is dirty on the inside".

CNN has reached out to Wilkinson for comment.

Ms Nielsen cut short the working dinner after protesters shouted, "Shame!" until she left.

She tweeted from her official press secretary account instead of her personal account.

"An employee shall not use his public office for his own private gain, for the endorsement of any product, service or enterprise, or for the private gain of friends, relatives, or persons with whom the employee is affiliated in a nongovernmental capacity", the law reads, in part. "Seeks to coerce business by using her office to get public to pressure it".

Because access to the media was tightly controlled, the opposition had an incredibly hard time reaching out to the electorate. The primary challenge for the opposition will be to quickly resurrect itself out of the trauma of this defeat.

Ian Bassin, a former associate White House counsel under President Barack Obama, agreed. "I don't want pictures in windows saying Trump supporters not welcome, liberals not welcome, Bernie Sanders supporters not welcome", she said. So yes, this tweet violates federal ethics rules. I'm sure Don McGahn will remind " he wrote on Twitter.

McGahn now serves as White House counsel. Wilkinson said. "I said I'd be down to see if it's true". "I work at The Old Red Hen in Collingwood, This restaurant has been around for 80 years, Great food and service!"

Now the restaurant's Yelp page is effectively closed for business as the reviews site cleans it up because the reviews being posted there are reacting to the news.

"But this tone is terrible", Mr. Cummings said.

I think escalation is a real concern, and if the left took Waters' advice, politicizing almost every commercial decision, we could end up with an even more fractured society.

The restaurant's co-owner, Stephanie Wilkinson, told The Washington Post that her staff had called her to report Sanders was in the restaurant. When they voted to boot her out, Wilkinson complied. Sanders said the reason was because she works for President Trump. "We have absolutely no affiliation with any other Red Hen Restaurant anywhere else".

Grabbing a bite to eat has become a problem for some members of the Trump administration since the zero tolerance policy for undocumented immigrants resulted in children being separated from their parents at the border.
