McGowan pled not guilty to the charge in November but if convicted, she could face up to 10 years in prison. Her trial date will be set Tuesday at the Loudon County courthouse in Virginia.

Her attorney has allegedly waived her appearance at the trial. Authorities claim that she unintentionally left her wallet behind at Washington Dulles International Airport after a flight.

On Monday, the actress was indicted by a grand jury in the ongoing case, in which she's been hit with one felony count of cocaine possession.

She pled not guilty to the charge, claiming that she had reported the lost wallet to the airline shortly after landing. The items tested positive for cocaine. McGowan has maintained she's innocent, suggesting in court papers that the drugs were planted at the behest of producer Harvey Weinstein.

In a statement, her attorney, Jose Baez, told the celebrity news site, "Rose steadfastly maintains her innocence. I assure you, this selective prosecution will be met with a strong defence".

Mannino then got out on foot and chased after the boy, managing to quickly get him to safety as cars and tractor-trailers sped by. An Illinois police sergeant is being hailed a hero after rescuing a young child who "escaped his mother's watchful eye".

Later that year an arrest warrant for McGowan surfaced, shortly after she publicly accused Weinstein of raping her.

McGowan was among the first to accuse Weinstein of sexual assault.

She also cited reports that Weinstein hired private investigators to follow women who had made accusations against him.

Weinstein has since been arrested on charges of rape, committing a criminal sex act, sexual abuse and sexual misconduct in NY for which has pled not guilty.
