Salah still a doubt for SWC opener against Uruguay

Salah jogged for about 30 minutes in a training session as his teammates worked on the same pitch in Grozny for the match in Ekaterinburg.

Leheita spoke about the player's chances of returning in time for Egypt's games in the World Cup saying that the team isn't rushing the player's return and are working with him step by step to get fit in time.

"The Spanish doctor is with us [at Russia] to follow with Salah as we hope to avoid any loses in the tournament".

Leheita said a physiotherapist from the medical staff of Salah's Liverpool club was at Grozny to help, and denied the English club was pressuring the Egyptians not to play Salah before he is fully fit.

Salah told reporters on Sunday that he expected to play against Uruguay, before he flew to Russian Federation with the rest of the Egyptian squad.
