While underwhelming on the whole, the E3 2018 Nintendo Direct was a fine demonstration of what makes the Switch such a runaway sales success: add pretty much any title to it and, voila, it's a whole new game. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will feature every single playable character that has ever been introduced in previous games, along with a few new characters.

Lastly, Nintendo announced the release date for Super Smash Bros.

Game Informer caught up with Bill Trinen, senior product manager for Nintendo of America, and asked why Metroid Prime 4 wasn't at E3 this year. We need to let Nintendo know that we want more announcements so we will know what to look forward to, even if they take years to complete.
