Based on the Marvel comic of the same name, "Luke Cage" follows a reluctant vigilante with super strength and unbreakable skin as he protects his home neighborhood of Harlem. The latter takes the form of John McIver (AKA the Bushmaster), a musclebound foe capable of bringing even Mike Colter's Power Man to his knees - think Diamondback, only with a cold and calculating heart.

A new promo for Season 2 of Luke Cage features Rand Enterprises assisting Misty Knight during her road to recovery, following the loss of her right arm. It's clear from this trailer that the second season will be primarily focused on Alfre Woodard's Mariah Dillard, who is faced with a threat to her hold over Harlem by the antagonist Bushmaster (Mustafa Shakir), who is bulletproof just like Luke Cage.

The trailer starts with Mariah staring out over the city before walking down a corridor with portraits of women on the walls as she intones, 'Black women have always had superpowers. The series also stars Simone Missick, Theo Rossi, Gabrielle Dennis, and Rosario Dawson. After all, he's Harlem's hero, and Harlem's hero works against criminals, not with them. All 13 episodes of Marvel's Luke Cage Season 2 will premiere on Netflix on June 22nd.

He is forced to confront the fine line that separates a hero from a villain.
