This incident comes nearly exactly a year after the USDA announced Tyson had recalled nearly 2.5 million pounds of chicken produced at its New Holland, Pennsylvania site.

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) released a statement Friday that said the chicken may contain pieces of "blue and clear soft plastic".

Food service institutions who have purchased the recalled product are advised to not serve the chicken.

The 12-pound boxes contained 3-pound plastic bags and were labeled "UNCOOKED, BREADED, ORIGINAL CHICKEN TENDERLOINS" with lot code 1378NLR02 and establishment number P-746.
