Hackers like to take advantage when real applications have not been released yet, or when a new feature is expected to be released but has not quite made it to the market.
That is one of the reasons why I'm grateful Apple launched the App Store in 2008.
The App Store brought gaming mainstream owing to the Multi-Touch technology on iPhone and iPad and the convenience of playing on the go. This meant that smaller developers had an avenue where they could show off their work and they would deal directly with Apple which freed them up to be really creative.
Android provides clearer guidelines, more documentation, and allows more flexibility in terms of design.

Apple says the App Store now has over 500 million weekly visitors, with the newly redesigned layout from 2017 has had the hundreds of stories from the Today tab "read by more than 1 million people". It's hard to believe, but it was July 10th (next Tuesday) that Apple unleashed this world-changing concept. "The App Store opened the door for any developer, from one-person shops to large studios, to come up with a great idea, build a high quality app and seamlessly deliver it to the growing number of customers around the world that today exceeds 1 billion people". The vehicle has been a stumbling point for Apple, but there are a lot of app store opportunities in that industry as well.
