Arsenal have confirmed the signing of Lucas Torreira from Sampdoria and the club's fans have shared their excitement on social media.

In Torreira, Emery has moved swiftly in an attempt to fill a midfield void that's plagued Arsenal for some years, with predecessor Arsene Wenger showing a preference toward players with more creativity.

'He is a young player already with good experience, but who wants to keep on growing. Despite his relatively diminutive stature, standing at five-feet-five-inches tall, he showed an impressive physicality with both Uruguay at the World Cup, where he featured in five matches, and last season at Sampdoria. "A midfielder with great quality, I have enjoyed watching his performances for Sampdoria in past two seasons".

The Spanish manager has also signed Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Bernd Leno and Stephan Lichtsteiner as he makes his mark at his new club. It makes me feel comfortable.

Sampdoria have confirmed that Lucas Torreira has joined Arsenal after he returned from Russian Federation.

U.S. steps up China trade spat with $200bn new tariffs
The International Monetary Fund has warned that a full-blown trade war could undermine the broadest global upswing in years. He added the USA is ready to target an additional $200 billion, and then $300 billion more should Beijing retaliate.

"I feel very happy", he said.

Guendouzi recently emerged as a shock transfer target with the Mirror reporting over the weekend that Arsenal had agreed a £7m deal with Lorient to sign the young midfielder. It's a very positive thing that people want to welcome me. I am really looking forward to starting this new adventure.

We've seen some incongruous shirt numbers assigned over the years; with Clint Dempsey wearing the No 2 at Spurs, Wilfried Bony wearing the No 2 at Swansea City and William Gallas wearing the No 10 at Arsenal.

The deal is subject to the completion of regulatory processes.

New boss Unai Emery wasted no time in identifying a plethora of stars to recruit since arriving at the club.
