ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports that the Rockets are "determined" to sign Carmelo Anthony once he parts ways with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Cameroonian free agent forward Luc Mbah a Moute has agreed to a one-year National Basketball Association deal with the Los Angeles Clippers, ESPN reported Monday, pushing the Houston Rockets to pursue Carmelo Anthony.

The 24-year-old restricted free agent and Houston are far apart in their contract negotiations, according to a report from USA Today's Rockets Wire.

What could make a trade easier, however, is if Anthony and his representation knew he was going to immediately be waived by the team which traded for him, thus making him eligible to sign with Houston, or even Miami and the Los Angeles Lakers, who are also reportedly interested in the 15-year veteran.

Acquiring Anthony on a veteran's minimum contract is still a possibility, but one that will prove all that much more hard if they also plan to bring him off the bench - as two concessions are much more than he'd be willing to make.

The Clippers on Monday also officially announced the re-signing of guard Avery Bradley, whose deal was reported last week as a two-year, $25 million pact.

In his lone Thunder season, Melo averaged 16.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game.

Capela has started 133 games over the last two seasons for Houston. It was the first time in his career that he averaged less than 20 points per game in a single campaign.
