The new device, dubbed the Honor 10 GT, brings relatively few upgrades over the regular model and appears to be more of a marketing strategy aimed at promoting the gaming capabilities of Honor smartphones than an effort to offer anything new to customers. In fact, with the GPU Turbo technology, higher image quality and performance can be achieved as well. Powering the phone is Huawei's ever-famous Kirin 970, the same chipset present in the P20 Pro.

The representative of Huawei has mentioned that the GPU Turbo update is the key feature of this version which increases the performance by 60% but lowers the power usage by 30%. While the Honor 10 was launched recently, the Honor V10 (a.k.a Honor View 10) was launched in December 2017. The company aims to make the GPU Turbo technology available to its phones through a software update.

The Honor 10 GT sports a similar 5.84-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 2280×1080 pixels. The native storage of the phone is not known, but it seems that it could be featuring 128 GB of inbuilt storage.

Tributes left at beach where girl died in inflatable…
Norfolk Police said a Home Office post-mortem examination was conducted on Monday and concluded Ava-May died of a head injury. She said: "Literally there were screams from everyone on the beach and it was nearly like slow motion.

The price of the Honor 10 GT has not yet announced, but its anticipated sale is likely to begin from July 24 on JD.com as well as Honor's online store. Besides improving gaming performance, GPU Turbo will also support AR and VR applications, although that may need developers to code in support for specific devices. Just as expected, the phone has a notch that houses the front-facing 24-megapixel selfie sensor.

The Honor 10 GT features a set-up of 24-megapixel primary sensor and 16-megapixel sensor with AI Photograph mode. The company is focussing on the lower-to-mid range of devices (so far we've got the really solid Honor 7X and the 9 Lite) for South Africa at the moment - which is why we're not (officially) getting the lower-spec Honor 10 in this country either. It is running on EMUI 8.1 flavored Android 8.1 Oreo OS. Besides the chin and the notch where the 24-megapixel selfie camera sits, the screen is almost edge-to-edge.
