Since all three were absent from this reception, Meghan chose to wear a more vivid shade than her usual pastels and whites. A smart move by the Duchess, reminding us of her American lineage, fashion prowess and giving her original home a nod on what is an important day to the country's history. I'm not at all surprised she is feeling this way given the body language between her and Prince Harry - and she is reflecting this in picking the softer pinks'.

The Duchess of Cambridge and the Queen always wear tights during royal engagements but, understandably, Meghan decided not to wear them amid this scorching heatwave.

According to Kensington Palace, the event is the "culmination of the Commonwealth's youth leadership workshop".

In a bold move, Meghan switched up her style, ditching her recent string of nude and pale coloured outfits in favour of a vibrant yellow dress.

This will mark Harry and Meghan's first official visit to Ireland; they visited Northern Ireland in March, two months before marrying.
