While Surface Go doesn't have a fingerprint reader, it has something arguably better - a Windows Hello camera.

Apple's iPad Mini 4 is slightly smaller than the new Surface, with a 7.9-inch screen, and carries a $399 price tag for 128 GB of storage.

To make the Surface Go a full laptop-replacement, one will also need to invest in a Type Cover. This means that the Surface tablet will possibly be available for purchase by this Friday. Beyond a hardware refresh for Microsoft's other Surface devices, the "Type Cover set" line suggests that it has to be a Surface tablet coming to market.

Microsoft on Tuesday talked up the "built-in kickstand with full friction hinge that extends to 165 degrees helps you stay in your flow from tablet to studio mode". You'll be able to buy it August 2nd.

Surface Go pricing starts at $400, but don't be fooled: Just as with the bigger, more powerful Surface Pro, you're going to want Microsoft's specially-made $99 keyboard cover to get the most out of the Surface Go. The company has adopted the same design of the premium Surface Pro tablets. However, the Intel Pentium Gold Processor 4415Y (which sits just below Core M) should give you plenty of pep for surfing the web, reviewing and marking up documents and checking email.

William, Kate's third child Prince Louis christened
While the royal christening was stepped in tradition, it also saw some remarkably elegant fashion choices. The duchess, who was wearing Alexander McQueen , added, with a smile: "I hope he stays like this".

The iPad starts at $329, but when you add an Apple Pencil and Logitech keyboard, the total zooms up to $527.95. Now in the latest burst of the saga, a Reddit post claims that Microsoft might launch the 10-inch Surface as early as this week. The USB-C port can be used for charging the tablet as well as connecting other USB-C devices. Powered by an Intel Pentium Gold processor, the new laptop-tablet hybrid is available for preorder now starting at $399 (without a keyboard), and hits store shelves on August 2. Yeah, it should work well on a table or desk, but this is a portable machine - you don't always have a flat surface when on the go.

If true, this would be a surprise announcement from Microsoft and a quiet launch for a brand-new product in the Surface family.

The aforementioned variants of the Microsoft Surface Go only support Wi-Fi connectivity for internet.

Surface Go will run versions of Windows 10 and Office apps. "Microsoft now offers the Surface Go in Wi-Fi-only flavor with LTE version coming “later this year". It comes with 4GB RAM (configurable up to 8GB), 64GB of eMMC storage, and offers 9 hours of battery life.
