The eight boys who've been rescued so far have all swum out of the cave, each escorted by two expert divers.

Four were rescued Sunday and another four were rescued on Monday.

Four boys were rescued on day one of the operation yesterday with the rescue resuming today.

Monday's rescue mission, which saw four boys extracted before dusk and whisked to Chiang Rai hospital, took around nine hours.

Interior Minister Anupong Paojinda had said early Monday that the same divers who took part in Sunday's rescue would return to extricate the others as they know the cave conditions and what to do.

The chief the rescue mission said they are being kept apart from relatives because of infection concerns, Reuters reports.

The mood was in stark contrast to the glum atmosphere at the site last week, especially after the announcement of the death on Friday of the former Thai navy Seal Saman Kunan, who died while placing air tanks in the cave.

The escape route is challenge for even experienced divers. "But we will have a psychiatrist to evaluate them".

It could be at least seven days before they can be released from hospital, Mr Jesada told a news conference.

"I'm hoping for good news", he said.

According to NBC News, the twelve boys, ages 11 to 16, and their 25-year old coach entered the caves two weeks ago but were trapped after rain caused flooding.

The boys had a good appetite but were mainly being given bland, easily digestible foods. In some places, the boys had to be carried under flooded areas, some only as narrow as 0.6 meter wide.

Their friends were full of optimism - and worry.

"I ask for three for days and all the Wild Boar team will come out", he said.

"Even when my friends have left the cave, I'm anxious about their physical well-being".

The plan is "set for four people", Osatanakorn said.

The four rescued boys have been transported to a Chiang Rai hospital for treatment and medical evaluations, reported CBS. Musk, who has been documenting his efforts to build the aforementioned sub to possibly help in the rescue, still clearly felt like he had something to offer.

Operations to pump water out of the cave went on despite heavy rain showers on Sunday and Monday.

"As all of us said, the main thing is we still need more than 20 hours to get ready", Narongsak said.

Thai rescue volunteers make their way up to the base camp near Tham Luang cave on Monday. The message, like most posted by the SEALs, ended with the fighting cheer adopted from the US Navy: Hooyah.

"If nothing goes wrong the four boys and the coach, along with the doctor and three Seals with them, will leave the cave together today".

Fifa's president invited the team to fly to Russian Federation to watch the World Cup final, which is scheduled to take place on Sunday.

In that mission, two divers accompanied each boy, guided by a rope. If the rain god helps us, then we may be able to work fast.
