The Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 multiplayer beta's got a confirmed date on PlayStation 4. This initial private beta will only be available to those playing on PS4.

According to the official announcement, the multiplayer beta starts first on PlayStation 4 on August 3 (with Xbox to follow one week later) and the Blackout beta starts first on PlayStation 4 in September.

Getting into the multiplayer beta on consoles require pre-ordering the shooter, and those on the PlayStation 4 get to jump in before everyone else.

For the Private Multiplayer Beta, players will begin fighting through six maps - two of which will make their first public appearance. Full details on the Black Ops 4 beta are available on the Treyarch blog.

The Private Multiplayer Beta will feature fan-favorite game modes like Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, and Search & Destroy, alongside our brand-new objective-based game mode, Control, which was created to bring out the best of Black Ops IIII Multiplayer gameplay. An additional beta session will take place the following weekend for all platforms-PS4, Xbox One, and PC-although the PC test will only be accessible through the Battle.net service. The latter is an objective-based mode that has teams alternating between attacking and defending two "static objectives".

When will it go on sale? The right-hand-drive layout of the V8 Cygnet highly means that the buyer resides in the UK. These include a seven-speed automated manual transmission, as well as braking and engine cooling system parts.

To play on PC all you need is a Battle.net account, but if you pre-order on PC you do get an extra day.

Let's be honest though, most players are probably more interested in the Blackout beta.

Starting next month on August 3, players who have pre-ordered Black Ops 4 will be able to download and play the private beta, which will last until August 6. The Blackout Beta will then arrive on all formats sometime in September.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is due out a little earlier than usual this year.
