Arsenal strengthened their squad heavily after Emery's arrival, bringing in five new additions.

"We are excited", he said.

It's an exciting time to be an Arsenal fan, and despite missing out on Champions League football for a second consecutive season, there's much to look forward to in the coming campaign.

Emery also said Ainsley Maitland-Niles is expected to start at left-back, a position he filled in at last season, with Saed Kolasinac sidelined for two months and Nacho Monreal only returning to training on Friday after picking up a knee problem at the World Cup.

"It's more easy to speak here than to do it on the pitch". For a good part, Welbeck has played on either side of attack but through the middle, Emery now prefers other players there. City, I think, after two years of working with Guardiola they have more stability, more security and when you watch City's matches, they are playing with a very, very great confidence in themselves.

Huntsman's casting comes on the heels of the departures of panelist Sara Haines and part-time co-star Paula Faris from The View . Former View host Jedediah Bila was also a contributor at Fox News before joining the ABC show.

It will be interesting to see who Emery opts for in goal between Leno and Petr Cech but Sokratis is nearly certain to start on Sunday while Torreira will be a starter if he's deemed match fit after arriving back late to pre-season following the World Cup. There were a lot of positives in the pre-season games the Gunners played, especially the seamless induction of young players like Matteo Guendouzi and Emile Rowe Smith into the first team. "We are to think only to win the match".

But new Arsenal chief Emery believes Kroenke's move is a positive step forward for the Gunners.

"[Kroenke] gave us his commitment with this project at Arsenal".

However, I expect to see a different Arsenal team under Emery with no apprehensions or tentativeness, unlike Arsene Wenger's teams.

Arsenal are also without long-term casualty Laurent Koscielny, while England global Danny Welbeck also misses out.
