"Together with the MR experts at Magic Leap, Wayfair has developed a completely new way to shop for home with a spatial browsing experience that will shape the next evolution of retail".

The Florida-based company has raised in excess of $2.3bn (£1.8bn) in funding from tech giants such as Google, China's Alibaba Group and the Saudi Arabia's sovereign investment arm over the past five years, says Business Insider UK. However, thanks to some tantalising hints on the official Magic Leap website, we might now know the launch date.

Although the hype surrounding Magic Leap's technology continues to soar, there are some limitations.

The headset is more suited to qualified designers and developers. That said, Magic Leap has plenty of capital behind it, and in July AT&T signed up to be the exclusive retailer of the headset.

The police asked people to lock their doors and avoid the area, confirming there had been 'multiple fatalities'. A New Brunswick journalist has reported that four shots were heard at around 8.20am local time (12.20pm GMT).

Magic Leap has also drawn attention recently from reports that the Field-of-View (FoV) for the device is a relatively unimpressive 40 degrees vertical by 30 degrees horizontal, with a 4:3 aspect ratio.

Magic Leap's headset is an augmented reality device that overlays graphical images on the real world you're looking at through the goggles. It is a hyperrealistic action game where the player is pitted against evil robots intent on invading the living room.

Helio web browser that delivers 3D and spatial web experiences, the Screens video player that allows users to place multiple displays of any size in their physical space, and Magic Leap's unique avatars and Social application, offering a spatially aware way to connect and feel presence across distance. "With Magic Leap, we are setting a new precedent for a truly immersive shopping experience leveraging the power of mixed reality and the ease of web". Magic Leap founder Rony Abovitz has taken to Twitter with a series of tweets suggesting a launch is imminent, including more than one reference to a rocket ship.

Available for $2295 Dollars, the Magic Leap One is now finally available for developer's to get their hands on to, at least for certain United States markets. There, developers can access software development kits for Unity and Unreal Engine 4 support, find code resources, tutorials and forums for connecting with other creators. It is also worth noting here that the availability of the Creator Edition is presently limited to certain cities in the US. There isn't a cellular connection available on Magic Leap One.
