I mean, free food is good food, but a "lifetime" of Big Macs might not be the most appealing prize in some people's eyes.

One victor will win an elusive McGold Card from McDonald's. The victor will be announced on or about August 29, and will be granted the McGold status, entitling them to two meals per week for 50 years.

Starting Friday, any person who orders from McDonald's using the mobile order-and-pay app is entered to win the McGold Card sweepstakes, which guarantees the victor free fast food for the rest of their lives.

To enter the contest, customers can place a mobile order on the McDonald's app during the two-week period, or alternately, enter via email without making a purchase. The prize is valued at $52,350.

The contest will take place beginning August 10th and will last until August 24th. "You have a much better chance of winning a state lottery than picking something like this up". "Limit one (1) Entry per day (regardless of method)".

Meanwhile, interest in Mina ended when the Colombian's advisors asked for what has been described as a "ridiculous" fee. The Leicester City defender was reportedly a £65 million target for the Old Trafford club but the Foxes wouldn't sell.

The contest is similar to one run by coffee chain Starbucks, which was called Starbucks for Life, only not as generous. In addition, the victor "will receive a custom gold-0plated "McGold Card" phone case".

Since then, a small select number of McGold Cards have been given out to notable figures, ranging from the governor of MI to the king of Sweden. However, 11 winners won the prize that was worth roughly $11,000 each.

Taco Bell gave a lifetime of food away in its "Eleven Everlasting Dollars" challenge in 2014.

For more information on the sweepstakes and how to enter, go to McDonalds.com/MobileMcGoldCard or download the McDonald's App. While it's not only celebrities who have these magic cards (Charles Ramsey, who helped rescue three kidnapped women in 2013, was given one as well), you do have to be pretty special to get one.

The fast-food giant launched its mobile app in 2015, then added mobile ordering and payment features previous year. You have between August 10 and August 14 to get those entries in.
