Standard Sonic stuff then. Now it's time to move on to the lead, which has Ben Schwartz (Parks and Recreation, Dewey in the new Ducktales show) voicing Sonic himself. He'll be filling in for Roger Craig Smith, who usually voices the character in various games, as well as Wreck-it Ralph.

Paramount Pictures' live-action Sonic the Hedgehog movie is moving fast and loose - in more ways than one!

Some context for the above tweet, this isn't the first iconic "blue" character from the 90s that Schwartz has voiced. Whether or not it lives up to the hype remains to be seen, but it's nice to see that Schwartz seems genuinely confident about the project. The news comes after the confirmation that Jim Carrey will indeed portray a live-action Dr. Eggman in the same film.
