Nintendo is getting closer to revealing the release date for its Switch Online Service.

When it finally hits next month, Nintendo Switch Online will cost $3.99 for one month, $7.99 for three months, $19.99 for a year and $34.99 for a family membership, which gives up to eight people to ability to use the service.

We've been waiting for Nintendo to launch its online service for the Switch for a while now, along with any perks it has beyond simply being allowed to play online. That means it's going be between five and seven weeks before we get to enjoy all the extras that come with the subscription. 3, The Legend of Zelda, Dr. Mario and several others - 20 in total at launch.

We've known that Switch Online will be coming in September for some time, but the company narrowed down the date somewhat in a Thursday tweet.

Emmerson Mnangagwa's inauguration has been deferred
Chamisa wants the constitutional court to declare him the victor or call a fresh election, it is reported. The opposition said the result was rigged.

It's worth noting that Nintendo has yet to explicitly declare whether or not free-to-play titles such as Fortnite Battle Royale will need the Switch Online Service in order for players to continue accessing it and playing multiplayer matches.

Additionally, Save Data Cloud backup will now be implemented, giving players the option to send and receive game data at the drop of a hat which provides peace of mind should a player lose or damage their system.

As it so happens, products like Epic Games' Fortnite, Hi-Rez Studios' Paladins, and other free-to-play games that require an Internet connection now lack a warning for customers to tell them that they will lose access when Switch Online launches.
