The 27-year-old missed training camp to undergo counseling and treatment.

Gordon, drafted by the Browns in the second round of the 2012 NFL Supplemental Draft, caught 180 passes for 3,106 yards and 16 touchdowns in 41 career games with the team.

"This afternoon, we informed Josh Gordon and his representatives that we are going to release him on Monday", Browns GM John Dorsey said in a statement announcing the move.

The former Baylor wide receiver's troubled tenure with the Cleveland Browns ended when the team announced Saturday night that it intends to release the former Pro Bowl wide receiver on Monday. "We wish Josh well".

And for me to say " thief " and for him to take a game? It made me feel like it was a sexist remark. The coach Patrick Mouratoglou later admitted havind used hand signals in coaching Williams.

Josh Gordon will soon be a free agent. In addition, he was fine at Friday's practice, then injured his hamstring. They activated him, albeit on the non-football-injury list.

The team provided no specifics about what prompted their decision to part ways with Gordon. Although he was still recovering from a hamstring injury suffered shortly after he reported for camp, Gordon surprisingly took 69 snaps (78% of Cleveland's offensive plays) last Sunday in the 21-21 tie against Pittsburgh.

In those five games, Gordon turned 18 catches into 335 yards and one touchdown. "I'm glad I was able to have the opportunity and it's good to be here and I feel grateful for the opportunity to have the chance to come back out here and be with my teammates and enjoy this lovely atmosphere". Even with Gordon's multiple suspensions and missed time rendering him a third-year veteran, he has accrued enough National Football League service to be a free agent then. It is reasonable to think that continuing to make exceptions for Gordon, could have had a negative impact on the entire team despite his enormous talent.
