Thomas was played the clip of the incident during his post-eviction interview, and told host Emma Willis how scared he had been when it was unfolding.

In what turned out to be one of the most controversial series of Celebrity Big Brother to date, Ryan Thomas was crowned this year's victor and sat down with host Emma Willis to finally talk through the "punch-gate" scandal which saw Roxanne Pallet accuse him of assaulting her, only for her to be found to be lying.

She claimed at the time that he deliberately hurt her, but later admitted she actually got it wrong. Online: "Roxanne Pallett will be in Celebrity Coach Trip".

'When I found out what her actual accusation was, I realised that it was a career destroyer and it became serious business.

"I think she's got a lot to deal with at the moment and so have I".

"As it unravelled, as it became bigger and bigger, then it scared me".

The former Coronation Street star appeared on Jeremy Vine on Wednesday morning to discuss the incident in which he was accused of punching his co-star Roxanne.

Tuesday's incident comes just a week after a similar interception of Russian bombers south of the Aleutian Islands. A similar incident occurred on September 1, the Washington Free Beacon first reported .

The interview comes as CBB victor Ryan fought back tears as he watched back his emotional breakdown on the show in the midst of "Punchgate".

Ryan, who apologised and said there was no malice, was given a formal warning by Big Brother and was seen crying and looking visibly distressed in the diary room. [Punchgate] is just a tiny bit of my journey. You just want your friends and your loved ones with you when something like that happens.

'As long as she now gets the help she needs then I think it's time we all draw a line under it.

'I have no words, no words whatsoever, I don't know what to say... all day I've been acting like I'm all cool, didn't think about winning, ' he said.

And despite branding herself 'the most hated girl in Britain,' former Emmerdale actress Pallett is far from done with reality television.

"I don't really want to think about it in the negative".

"I have a daughter that I want to concentrate on so it's not my priority".
