A game that essentially takes place in just one village may seem small in scope, but odds are that village is packed with secrets and surprises to find throughout your journey.

Game Freak announcedTown (working title) for the Nintendo Switch today. The announcement was part of the reveals made at Nintendo Direct event.

Adam Bankhurst is a news writer for IGN who has all the faith in the world in Game Freak and is excited to vacation in this troubled village next year.

From the footage shown, a character named Nez - or Nezu - appears to have the ability to use ideas and concepts (depicted as a light bulb) in combat. Additionally, players can reportedly summon other townspeople to help battle against monsters.

PSG make light of Mbappe, Neymar absence in Parc stroll
The game plan was to play low and counter in the first half. "We knew PSG were stronger than us but four goals are expensive". Today we were without Neymar and Kylian and I'm happy to have used players that were here during the global break.

Game Freak Inc is most known for its tireless work on the Pokémon franchise, it also has some history with other original IPs such as Giga Wrecker in 2017 and Tembo the Badass Elephant in 2015.

Town, or whatever it might be called leading up to release, will launch in 2019 for the Nintendo Switch. While we wait for more news on Town, what are your thoughts on the game?

We certainly didn't see this game coming, but Town sounds interesting even before you realize that this game is being worked on by an incredibly talented group of designers and developers.
