Razer, the gaming and peripheral company, has been rumoured to launch the second-generation gaming smartphone for a while now.

Another rumor, based on the previous Geekbench benchmark - Razer Phone 2 will be powered with Snapdragon 845, comes with 8GB RAM and possibly 512GB of storage and has a ' Chroma ' LED system.

That image? That's a leak of the Razer Phone 2, and yeah, we'll forgive you if you thought it was the original Razer Phone.

Following some leaks regarding a potential Razer Phone 2, the company has announced that it will be holding an event next month. Razer thinks you are.

An image obtained by Android Headlines from a "reliable source" claims to show the front of the upcoming Razer Phone 2 and it looks awfully like its predecessor (which is pictured in the image above). After the Razer Phone launch, we have a few more smartphone launches with "Gaming Smartphone" tag. The hardcore game hardware company has just sent out an email to media outlets to let them know they should "save the date" for a reveal coming on October 10.

The invite itself (via Droid Life) has an Razer Phone-like outline, which may indicate that the overall design for the Razer Phone 2 will not be a radical departure from the first phone. Other than logistics information, all we see on the invite is the text "FLAGSHIP // GAMING".
