The Pixelbook shown looks very similar to the original released in 2017, but with much smaller bezels.

There have been several reports about Google developing not one, but two, new versions of the Chrome OS-powered Pixelbook laptop that released past year. Now, we'll see whether Google's Pixelbook sequel (or spinoff) will follow suit - and hopefully in October - if this video is the real deal.

If you look closely at the video you'll notice that the device's bezels are a lot thinner than the bezels on the original Pixelbook.

Over the weekend, a flood of images and even a video have surfaced of what we suspect to be the upcoming Pixelbook 2 and Pixelbook detachable.

With how many Google product leaks we're seeing ahead of the company's October 9 Made by Google event, one could nearly feel bad for the tech giant - it's clear that its employees are having a tough time keeping a lid on the many, many Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL leaks. Perhaps the latter - assuming it does indeed have a detachable screen - is Google's answer to Microsoft's Surface laptop line-up?

Hurricane Florence closes in on US east coast
More than 1 million people have been ordered to evacuate the coastlines of the Carolinas and Virginia . The slow-moving storm, with maximum sustained winds of 130 miles per hour, is expected.

Thanks to the detective work of Brandon Lall (via Chrome Unboxed), we may have now got a painfully brief glimpse at one of the two potential second-generation Pixelbooks.

Firstly, we can see thin bezels on both side, and a high-res screen.

It is a little hard to believe that Google, who makes the majority of their revenue off of web-based ads, "accidentally" launched advertisements picturing a Pixelbook with thinner bezels than any other Chrome device on the market.

But this could still be a trend that Google will pursue for its next generationof Pixelbook designs - just not to this extreme. We'll keep you posted until then. In an earlier leak, a developer build of Chrome OS revealed an animation of a tablet with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and slimmed down bezels.

The "leaked" images of a narrow-bezel Pixelbook in the form of Ad Choice and Facebook ads make me wonder if Google isn't embracing the craze of slipped Pixel phone images and doing their part to fan the flames of the hype-train that has been coming down the tracks towards the October 9th Made by Google hardware launch.
